Summary: Black comes over for a long overdue lunch.
There were certain parts of her that were tied up in making sure this entire thing was the best it could be. She owed it to Black, at least, with as busy as she had been, unable to spend time with him, to do the things she should have been doing this entire time; neglect was a cruel sin. Reno had given her the clearance, and in truth, to this day she was surprised he had; most people weren’t as rational as he could sometimes be.
Maybe that was why she loved him as much as she did.
She finished cooking the two pieces of fish and hoped for the best on this; even though she had been able to find some herbs to garnish food when the weather was a lot more favorable than it was now, fish never was her specialty. Well, not much really was in the kitchen, but Reno hadn’t died from her cooking yet, so that was a good sign as far as she was concerned.
Setting the plates on her table, she fell into one of the chairs and waited. She had hoped her gift to Black was well-received; it wasn’t much, she felt, but it was the least she could do at the moment. One of the things she noticed with these Giving holidays is that one never knew how many friends they had until one has to buy gifts for them all.
(OOC: I thought that maybe Black might bring her gifts with him to the lunch. :D If that’s okay?)
