Summary: edward looks for (and finds) bella.
Bella's arrival in Purgatorium had proven one thing: the so-called gods here were absolutely insane, and that the whole idea of this place was absolutely ridiculous. Sure, Edward felt he might have deserved to be there. Well, he definitely did deserve to be there; he'd killed people, and, well, actually had need to repent (or whatever it was he was meant to be doing). Bella, however, was--in Edward's eyes, at least--utterly innocent. And so, he was furious that she had turned up here--that someone had actually thought she deserved to be brought here.
And it wasn't just that she didn't deserve to be here; Purgatorium was hardly the safest of places. Edward had already encountered several of the monsters here. Then again, most of them were werewolves; the thought that Bella might actually like that entered his head, but he opted not to entertain it for long. (They didn't seem like the werewolves they already knew, though, and he decided it would be best to keep the word 'monsters' vague in the case that Bella found it wise to seek out the stupid things).
His main concern, anyway, was finding her before she, inevitably, got herself into trouble. He finally picked up her scent around the clock tower (the reek of Purgatorium seemed to dull his sense of smell), so he decided to look inside.
Yeah, she was definitely inside.
