So she needed his help already. Black had a wicked grin as he headed toward the clock tower to meet Elena. She put on such a tough girl act and now she needed him to hide her from one of her friends. He couldn’t help but let out a slight chuckle at the thought. He had read over what Reno had posted from the terminal. Black was a spy, it’s just what he did in his free time. The red head’s words, they seemed like an act. He was over compensating for something. Obviously he was upset that Elena had gone out and had a little fun with out him. Now he was acting out in his own way as well as being affected by this personality switch the gods had instituted. It didn’t really matter. This meeting with Elena would work to his advantage anyway. Now she would owe him something for sure. Holding a favor over someone was always a nice feeling.
What was not such a nice feeling was the cold air against his sleeved arms. The white shirt and black vest he had on offered little protection from the elements. That was the down side of loosing his jacket to her a couple nights prior. Black’s gun was visible in its shoulder holster without the jacket and he didn’t care for that. Concealed weapons were best. He shoved his gloved hands into his pockets and quickened his pace for the tower. Elena had some explaining to do and he was eager to hear it.
He stayed to the shadows, not wanting to risk being seen by Reno or Schuldig. No fighting would take place, at least not until he’d heard from Elena what was going on. No use in jumping the gun and killing someone who was only going to come back and possibly hunt him down. As he neared the clock tower he spotted Elena. She was waiting in the shadows like a good girl. Sneaking up behind her, he pulled the cloth from his pocket and pulled it over her eyes before she knew he was there.
“Don’t fight it, it’s me.” He told her as he tied the cloth to her head.
