For a while, a sort of tangible tension fell on her shoulders, and though she held the worm triumphantly between her chopsticks, she didn't quite feel like celebrating. Yet. Her eyes had shifted away from her squiggly prize and focused instead on the man in front of her. If anything had happened, she was ready to move. She was ready to fight, she was ready to run, ready to do whatever was necessary.
But for now, it seemed nothing was necessary, as the odd air of tension melted. Her breathing evened, only a split-second after the weird feeling had dissipated.
"What sorta company are they?" Anita couldn't help but ask--curiosity had hit. "And what'd you used to do for 'em?"
It dawned on her as an afterthought that she had no idea what this man's name was.

The voice was still there, assaulting him from the sidelines yet pleading to be listened to. His control prevailed against it, clearing his mind as he thought about what it was that made ShinRa Company so terrible.
"I was a SOLDIER for them--a general, actually. I'd been trained in their military ever since I was young; they considered me quite talented for an orphan."
There was a sudden, dramatic gust of wind, and Sephiroth paused as the wind hit them, throwing up small flecks of snow and the lighter pieces of ice before suddenly dying down.
"But they are deceiving everyone. The SOLDIER are all just experiments. Monsters created by that company. They used me for power, glory, and victory."
His eyes narrowed ever so slightly.
"I must stop them before they deceive anyone else."

"If they're really doing crap like that, they're stupid," she said, "and horrible people. I hate big-shot companies who think that just 'cause they've got a lotta money, they can use people!"
Her anger swelled in her in waves, each one stronger than the last. The worm had long escaped by the time she calmed enough to look the taller man square in the eye again. This time, instead of angry, she seemed... somewhat sad.
"So, you were experimented on too?"
Reply
"I was."
Those two words were like a slight release of pressure, like he'd removed something clamping down his chest.
"I found out that through some sort of experiment that they had made me into the perfect SOLDIER... more like the perfect monster under the guise of a hero."

She briefly considered the creatures she'd encountered while in this place--yes, those were monsters. While this big guy did have odd eyes, he certainly didn't seem to be a monster in any other way. Besides, there was a part of her inside that refused to believe she was a monster just because she was born and bred to be used as a paper agent.
And as a side thing, every time he opened his mouth with more info on this company, she found herself disliking them more and more. Satoshi briefly came to mind, and she worried, her anger growing still.
