After having swallowed the living worm, he studied the girl... who seemed rather pleased with his having tried it at least once. Sephiroth, however, wasn't planning on doing it again as he preferred eating the great and filling monsters.

And she continued chatting before kneeling down to find more food. Perhaps he should assist her in obtaining something better...

Hn. She was considering seeking employment. Generally, the city was the place to search for employment, which meant that she might eventually seek out ShinRa for a work opportunity.

That simply would not do.

"Have you already looked into the potential employers?"

He had to ask, and hopefully with a little convincing he would be able to stop her from joining ShinRa's ranks. Why should he let a little teenage girl involve herself with the sick ShinRa atrocities?

Not looking up from her digging, Anita replied, "Well, yeah, I've been doing some lookin' here and there. Since I arrived, I'd mostly been figuring things out, seeing who or what's dangerous, trying to find where things are--that sort of thing ( ... )

"Hn. I see."

He nodded, watching with a kind of curious amusement as she spoke and continued digging non-stop. What kind of monster hunting did she have in mind? A vision of Yachiru and her sword came to mind as he recalled taking down the wild flying dragon for her before watching her tame it with a couple bops of the hilt to its head. However, this girl mentioned having some sort of ammunition; what was her fighting style like?

"You're right--curry doesn't sound like something they serve at a cafe. I'm sure there are plenty who hire monster-killers in a place like this." He paused to think for a moment. "Do you know the name of this company that your friend is working for?"

Don't let it be ShinRa. But if it was ShinRa, he'd have to warn the girl before she involved herself with them. Back then, they were a big company, and even now they still seemed to wield great power and control over this city as well.

Anita paused momentarily to look up at the sky--and meanwhile, the worm began its speedy escape--trying to recall what Satoshi had written into his journal. She knew he was complaining about catching a cold or... and didn't know how much his pay would be, wasn't that kind of dumb?--that should be one of the first things you ask, but that wasn't the point right now--

"Ah!" Noticing the worm's desperate attempt at disappearing, she set back to digging furiously, determined to not let it escape. "Shin-something, I don't remember it all. He said he'd be working at a computer, but I'm not really good with 'em."

Having successfully unearthed the worm, she prepared to catch the darn thing, trying to snag it with her chopsticks. Though it'd be easier to stab it through with the stick-end, really, she was eating worms. She didn't need its guts hanging out while swallowing.

This guy didn't seem like a bad person--heck, he'd eaten that worm, so she already felt some form of camaraderie with the guy. Though, she did make note of the really ( ... )

"Shin... Ra?" He offered tentatively.

At first, he simply looked thoughtful, but his brows furrowed in visible upset after having proposed that 'ShinRa' was the name she was looking for. "I'd imagine that as usual they offer a great variety of jobs; however, you'd be better off staying away from them."

He paused for a moment as hatred re-ignited in his heart. Simply thinking about them made his heart race furiously and his blood boiled in rage, but he held himself back from putting his hand to the hilt. The voice in his head seemed to get louder if only for a moment before he pushed it away to force himself to control. Perhaps that was how he had killed the guide girl Tifa before--if he could sense the signs of rage, there was still a chance to stop it then.

Having quickly composed himself, he continued, "I used to work for them; they're from the place that I came from."
