sorry for lack of Satoshi talking. He's not very sociable ;_; angel_hater November 30 2007, 19:20:51 UTC
The sky rumbled over head as Satoshi made his way through rock and rubble. He found himself spending much of his free time roaming around the new world. He pushed his hands deeper into his pant pockets as he tried to fight off the chill that was coming with the surely oncoming storm. A sound to his right interrupted his thoughts, as well as the path of his feet.

He took a moment to gaze at the girl from which the sound came. Did he want to talk to the newest stranger? Should he even bother? Satoshi never was one for being anything near sociable. She looked depressed. Satoshi inwardly shrugged. It shouldn't be his problem if the girl was stuck out in the rain. He should really be getting back...

Anita noticed something moving to her right, and almost instinctively, her hand shot to her pocket. It could, after all, be another one of those dumb monsters that frequently roamed the area, and if it was, then she had to be prepared. Pulling away an excess sheet of paper from her side, she held it between her pointer and middle finger, jumped to her feet, and turned to face the moving whatever-it-was.

"Haa."

...upon seeing that it was nothing more than another kid, her muscles relaxed, and the sheet of paper in her hand went slack.

"Whaaaat, you're just kid my age. Don't go sneaking around like that--I could've attacked you, y'know," she said, though her voice lacked irritation.

Satoshi was only slightly irked that the girl had spoken to him on such familiar terms. "I'm sure," He replied back quite sarcastically. "It will rain," he informed what he assumed to be a misinformed girl. "Shouldn't you be indoors somewhere?"

Okay, now Anita was annoyed.

"Listen, you, I dunno which weather station you hail from, but I think it's pretty obvious it's gonna rain."

She rolled her eyes, placing one hand on her hip, and muttered, "Maybe I should've attacked anyway--if only I knew it was just some punk."

Satoshi's eyes widened minutely before he caught himself and returned to his normal gaze. "Cute trick," he replied to the girl. She seemed to have more than a bit of Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. He didn't wish to talk to the girl more than necessary, but he was curious. "How are you able to have these abilities in this world?"

"Tch, it's more than just tricks, y'know--I use my paper skills to back up my martial arts," Anita said, rolling her eyes a little at her ability being called a 'trick'. But whatever, she didn't have to prove anything to him: she knew she was more than a competent fighter.

"Hnn, some people haven't been able to keep their abilities, right? I think I've got mine still 'cause they're not really magical, they're more..."

...uh, what exactly were her abilities? Genetic, engineered,...

"...psychic, I guess," she decided.

Am I allowed to incorporate the snow forcast into here? :O angel_hater December 2 2007, 07:46:42 UTC
Satoshi nodded his head once, accepting her explanation. A strong gust of wind swept through between Satoshi and the girl. He hunkered down as far as he could into the collar of his dress shirt, digging his hands deeper into his pant pockets. That did little to leaven the cold. He really needed to find some warm clothes and soon.

A cold drop hit his nose. He momentarily mistook the substance for rain before he realized that the surroundings were slowly being covered in white. "Snow...?" Satoshi said aloud in wonder. He hardly expected there to be any other sort of weather conditions rather than rain. His eyes wandered over towards the girl to see her reaction.

[OOC continued: ...technically, no, we wouldn't be allowed to incorporate the snow in here, 'cause it takes place on the 30th, afternoon-ish, and the snow falls on the 1st; HOWEVER, we can always change that. ^_~

Aaaaaand, re-posted for typos. Darnit, I keep having to do that. -__-;;]

Indeed, it was snow. She looked around at the white flurries, slowly sifting unto the ground like powdered sugar, and frowned. No wonder it was so cold. She herself, in short sleeves and shorts, was certainly not dressed for the season, but the other guy didn't seem any more bundled than she did.

"Crap," Anita murmured. Jumping down from her stony perch, she turned to Satoshi and asked, "Wanna go find some place warmer? Well, we might not find somewhere like that, 'cause everywhere's pretty run down, but anywhere out of the open's got to be better than just standing here."

After speaking those words, something happened. Her Chinese blouse, hair ornaments, and shorts suddenly burst into several hundred sheets of paper, revealing for just a split ( ... )

Sorry!!! ;_; angel_hater December 3 2007, 03:40:25 UTC
Satoshi was once more startled by this enigma of a girl. Never in his life had he seen such a trick. Even when he changed into Krad, their clothing stayed the same.

Once more, Satoshi mentally shook himself out and nodded in agreement towards the girl. This world was not a place where he should easily brush off a friendly hand. "Do you have anywhere particular in mind?" He asked as he moved to where she was heading.

Wherever they were going, it had better be out of the snow, Anita decided mentally, and they had better get there fast--before her clothes got soaked and fell apart.

"I think there's a relatively sturdy lookin' building this way," Anita said as picked her way through the rubble and started heading towards a building she'd taken shelter in before. Turning to peek over her shoulder at the blue-haired boy, she continued, "Oh yeah, what's your name? Mine's Anita."

Satoshi really should no longer be so surprised by this slip of a girl. He nodded, even though she probably couldn't see for she was already in there, and proceeded towards the window. Satoshi won't lie. He was no where near as nimble as Anita. He settled for grabbing the ledge and pulling himself in with surprisingly strong arms for such a young teen.

A few pieces of glass embedded themselves into his palm. He brushed his hands together to get most off. If he had missed any, they were too insignificant to cause any harm towards his person.

The room was dark. Satoshi froze in his spot as he allowed his eyes to adjust to the lack of light. Where had Anita gone?

It was a scarcely furnished room--might've been something like a living room if anyone had actually ever lived in the building before. Aside from a soggy couch that lined one wall and acted like a bucket for the leaking ceiling, there was a night table missing two legs propped in a corner to act as an end table and two wooden chairs, one with a half-eaten cushion on it. The ceiling fan and light fixture had been torn out of the ceiling socket and lay together in the center of the room, their wiring exposed and mostly severed ( ... )

[ooc: I doubt there's much more we can do in this scenario...]

Satoshi nodded as if Anita would have seen. He dully noted the couch, and made a wide berth around the soggy cushions in order to get to Anita. To be honest, he didn't want to go sit in a corner by himself. Besides, the light did indeed look quite inviting. Satoshi peered over Anita's shoulder and into the screen.

[OOC: We can say it ends now, actually. xD~ Thanks for the log--was much fun getting Anita out. ^^ Most likely, the building they're in is one of Anita's several temporary hang-outs: she's been in and out of places, depending on where she wanders, just so you know.]
