He took a moment to gaze at the girl from which the sound came. Did he want to talk to the newest stranger? Should he even bother? Satoshi never was one for being anything near sociable. She looked depressed. Satoshi inwardly shrugged. It shouldn't be his problem if the girl was stuck out in the rain. He should really be getting back...

"Haa."
...upon seeing that it was nothing more than another kid, her muscles relaxed, and the sheet of paper in her hand went slack.
"Whaaaat, you're just kid my age. Don't go sneaking around like that--I could've attacked you, y'know," she said, though her voice lacked irritation.

"Listen, you, I dunno which weather station you hail from, but I think it's pretty obvious it's gonna rain."
She rolled her eyes, placing one hand on her hip, and muttered, "Maybe I should've attacked anyway--if only I knew it was just some punk."

"Hnn, some people haven't been able to keep their abilities, right? I think I've got mine still 'cause they're not really magical, they're more..."
...uh, what exactly were her abilities? Genetic, engineered,...
"...psychic, I guess," she decided.

A cold drop hit his nose. He momentarily mistook the substance for rain before he realized that the surroundings were slowly being covered in white. "Snow...?" Satoshi said aloud in wonder. He hardly expected there to be any other sort of weather conditions rather than rain. His eyes wandered over towards the girl to see her reaction.

Aaaaaand, re-posted for typos. Darnit, I keep having to do that. -__-;;]
Indeed, it was snow. She looked around at the white flurries, slowly sifting unto the ground like powdered sugar, and frowned. No wonder it was so cold. She herself, in short sleeves and shorts, was certainly not dressed for the season, but the other guy didn't seem any more bundled than she did.
"Crap," Anita murmured. Jumping down from her stony perch, she turned to Satoshi and asked, "Wanna go find some place warmer? Well, we might not find somewhere like that, 'cause everywhere's pretty run down, but anywhere out of the open's got to be better than just standing here."
After speaking those words, something happened. Her Chinese blouse, hair ornaments, and shorts suddenly burst into several hundred sheets of paper, revealing for just a split ( ... )

Once more, Satoshi mentally shook himself out and nodded in agreement towards the girl. This world was not a place where he should easily brush off a friendly hand. "Do you have anywhere particular in mind?" He asked as he moved to where she was heading.

"I think there's a relatively sturdy lookin' building this way," Anita said as picked her way through the rubble and started heading towards a building she'd taken shelter in before. Turning to peek over her shoulder at the blue-haired boy, she continued, "Oh yeah, what's your name? Mine's Anita."

A few pieces of glass embedded themselves into his palm. He brushed his hands together to get most off. If he had missed any, they were too insignificant to cause any harm towards his person.
The room was dark. Satoshi froze in his spot as he allowed his eyes to adjust to the lack of light. Where had Anita gone?

Satoshi nodded as if Anita would have seen. He dully noted the couch, and made a wide berth around the soggy cushions in order to get to Anita. To be honest, he didn't want to go sit in a corner by himself. Besides, the light did indeed look quite inviting. Satoshi peered over Anita's shoulder and into the screen.
