Summary: Rei goes and finds Miroku home and ill. She tries to find out the reason due to his illness.

Watching Miroku sweep his claw towards her, Rei's eye twitch releasing her fiery arrow, "Sniper!" The flaming arrow aimed towards Miroku's lower half, though this time the flames envelop around him. Rei sets her arms down to both sides for now tilting her head back watching him. 'Gomen...'

Hopefully that will stun or stall Miroku for a moment, Rei looks towards Kakashi watching him building his attack. Rei's eyes narrow calling to him, "now!" She was unaware of Kurama watching them.

Miroku's consciousness was indeed gone, unfortunately, as soon as the Ghoul Powder in the punch he had consumed had completely transformed him. The monster that he now was didn't hesitate to continue attacking Kakashi or his remaining clone and Rei. Even though he didn't manage to dodge Rei's attack, the fire didn't seem to do much damage to his tough, scaley hide. He continued forward, unphased and ready to smack Rei into a wall.

Kakashi was worried... because if killing Miroku was the only way, he knew that he'd still regret it somehow. The past always seemed to have a sick way of repeating itself, and there was always one sense or another -or one reason- that he'd have to kill someone important to him. And Miroku was his friend, his comrade, and one of the first to express tremendous appreciation for the Icha Icha novels that Kakashi was so fond of

The ninja comprehended the situation, in the same way he had. Even if Kakashi had been the one impaling him, Kurama knew all of them felt the weight of the guilt in the same way. His eyes averted from the scene, cast to the ground in a silent stare.

He approached to Rei, knowing her tears were inevitable. At least he could attempt to bring comfort.

Rei lifts her arms in front of her ready to shield herself of Miroku's incoming claw. She catches a glimpse of flash in front of her. Lifting her arms down, Rei looks up seeing Kakashi who have done the final damage. Rei felt a shock, she threw her arms a side calling his name, "Miroku!"

Holding her tears back, Rei ran towards Miroku. She would kneel close to him keeping her head hanging forward allowing her dark hair to cover over her face. She hated this. She hated this decision, she hated the person responsible for this, she hated this world.
