Enter Don Corneo... ^^gimmeyourladiesNovember 2 2007, 16:10:04 UTC
The Don was disappointed when his last victim probable candidate for a date ran off toward ShinRa, the Turks, and whatever other buddies he had. And he took the logical course of action in avoiding them--he ran away.
But it wasn't too long until he saw another hot and sexy wildcat~~~
He mustered all his pervertedness courage and approached her. "Hellooooooo~ my dear~ The name is Corneo--Don Corneo. Might I ask what your name is?"
He eyed her with a disgusting grin and nearly licked his lips with his desire.
Soi, too, fidgeted with her clothing as they approached the building. The last time she had worn a dress was far outside the scope of her memory... if she had ever done so in her life. It was... poofy. Not extraordinarily poofy, but, at the least, poofier than anything she ever chose to wore. Of course... this was a formal occasion. Not to mention the fact that the point of the outfit was that it was out of place on her; a costume, as it were. And, even beyond those two reasons... she was here with Yoruichi, and that fact demanded that she look her absolute best, for over a thousand different reasons, ranging from the desire not to embarrass her, to more... specific, shall-we-say personal, reasons.
No matter how it went, she had no doubt that this night would be the best in quite a long time. And she wasn't about to let some interloper ruin that... especially not one as disgusting-looking as this Don Corneo character. Of course, he hadn't actually said anything shady yet, so she would be hard-pressed to justify an offensive
( ... )
Yoruichi moved her hand to Soifon's arm, gently gripping it in a method that showed she was definitely with someone at this dance, and didn't need some strange man hitting on her. Some strange, and very ugly man. She offered a smile to Soifon.
"Let's go, Soifon," she said. "And what have I said about the -sama...?" that part was quieter, not for Don Corner to hear.
She offered him nothing but a slight smirk, since her name and Soifon's name were passed between the two of them enough that he could have heard it.
At least he was not completely ignored. But DANG! the ladies were HOT! And they were each other's dates? Pity he couldn't come along... right?
But Corneo didn't know how to give up. "How about I walk in with you?" he asked, unable to hide the disgustingly sleezy smile from creeping up onto his face.
Soifon's face colored a little at the contact; granted, it was at least partially to deter that annoying man, but it was still quite familiar. And quite welcome. Then again, Yoruichi had always been quite familiar with her... even when she was first assigned as the other woman's bodyguard. She was like that with all the troops, but... well, that hadn't made it any less meaningful, to her.
"Ah... yes, let's," she replied, wishing to leave that man behind. At the second statement, she blushed ever-so-slightly more, and slowly responded, at the same, "Ah... in that case... what... would you prefer...?" For so long, it had been 'Yoruichi-sama'... but, if the elder woman had agreed to attend this ball with her former bodyguard, then, perhaps, they were closer than that. Perhaps a change in terminology was actually appropriate. That didn't make it feel any less inappropriate, but... well, she'd always placed her senpai on a bit of a pedestal.
Yoruichi would try to behave, had this been any day where she had a portion of her powers, that man would have no head right now. "...Yoruichi is fine," she assured Soifon with the smile. She shook her head at Don Corneo, and frowned for a moment.
"I'd prefer to just walk with Soifon," she answered. She remained polite, but she'd really like to decapitate him. Much as she had almost done to Gin that one time. Yoruichi wouldn't have agreed had she not liked Soifon's company. Her young, former student, former bodyguard, and...friend should be comfortable by her.

Untouchable, like the stars above...
