Who: Medea, Light When: After Light's 2nd Psycho!Post Where: Outside? Rating: PG-13? Warnings: God Complex and a, uh...God? Summary: Light challenges the Gods, and Medea answers.
Medea tried her best to be tolerant. Honestly, she did. She loved each and every one of her children-no matter how vile they were-dearly and she only wanted what was best for them, so she was willing to extend patience for them more than she would have for anyone else.
There were, however, certain things she would not tolerate.
Powerless mortals calling themselves Gods were definitely on that list. It aggravated her to no end that they would be so foolish as to believe something like that, when they possessed no special or remarkable traits or abilities that could have given credence to such proclamations. (And that Death Note did not count, for it was not his; it was that of the Shinigami.)
Ordinarily, such a crime would have simply been punished the way much was punished in Purgatorium, however-that is, his time in the lower level would have been extended and kept growing until he realized his error and ceased such nonsense.
But declaring her false? Blatantly challenging both her power and authority

At the sound of the woman's voice, hazel eyes widened, pupils unnaturally small. Light spun around, shoulders heaving. But upon seeing her, he began to laugh. It was uncontrollable, the laughter, because the situation was just so amazingly funny! There she was, standing there, assuming she had the right to accuse him!
"How wonderfully cute!!" he managed between each painful roll of laughter. Standing up, Light held his arms out, feeling the roars of praise already reach his ears. Yes, he could hear them now, chanting forever the name of Kira! Their savior, their God! Could she not hear it too? Foolish woman. Pathetic, foolish woman. Foolish God

Sheer horror was stricken across his features, muscles tensing and relaxing as if he were unable to stay still. How...how dare she speak to him that way! Kira knew what everyone wanted, he acted according to their will! The mandate had been given to him! He had sacrificed his own time and family and well-being to better the world, to make it the utopia God had failed to do. God ignored the sins. Kira purified the world, ridding it of sin
