Blue shift is how the Doppler effect seems to give things a blue tint as you're speeding towards them. A metaphor for how time seems to pass faster as you age.

Nothing specific, really. Just the relative simplicity and obliviousness to consequences that comes with youth.

Youth sucks. I'll take my spouse, my contracts, my house, and my bikini lounging any day of the week.

It's more the perception of time than anything.
