I'm never able to tell if poetry is angsty or soul searchingly wistful, and if I should shake you for your lunch money over it.

I think poetry tends to bring out angst, admittedly.

But then, I'm just a nostalgic old/young man.

Ah. So I should be punching and shaking poets for their money, then.

Nostalgic for?

I would have thought you'd give up on that sort of thing from being a housewife.

DA, in an odd way. People who've long since left. Different things.

... What blue shifted.

And what old games?

You want to be a kid again??

Blue shift is how the Doppler effect seems to give things a blue tint as you're speeding towards them. A metaphor for how time seems to pass faster as you age.

Nothing specific, really. Just the relative simplicity and obliviousness to consequences that comes with youth.

No, Noriko. I'm not longing to be a little wriggling thing any time soon.

What happens when you don't age?

Youth sucks. I'll take my spouse, my contracts, my house, and my bikini lounging any day of the week.

It's more the perception of time than anything.

...to be fair, you don't really worry about the consequences as it is, so you're very young in mind still.

Have you considered entering your poems into contests and magazines?

I more do it as an established quirk, honey.

I don't think poems really make much money, anyway.

It gets you street cred at least.

...I'm not really worried about street cred, honey.

Indeed, I dare say being validated for it would defeat the purpose.

Haiku!

Well, Haikus with a Tanka at the end.

Probably should have gone for a Chouka instead. Oh well.

Uhhhh. Yeah, I agree. I totally know what those are.

I just sorta noticed you switched off of limericks!

It's alright, they'd probably be obscure forms even to native Japanese.

And yes. Gone the way of the pink shirt, I'm afraid. Guess I'll have to settle for being stuffily pretentious instead of hinting at possible innuendo.

So low!

It wasn't for your entertainment, anyway. It's 'artsy'.

... I feel like I've met you somewhere, from the icons.

Ah, the pink sailor suit girl. Rei, I believe?

Sadly, I don't really have any icons of my old pink shirt uploaded anymore. ...well, save for the one.
