Possibly the greatest joke ever told

You people are having me on, right? Because all day long I’ve caught whisper of the most unbelievably laughable rumour. It’s as if ever since the younger version of Peter Pettigrew made his brief appearance, people have been looking at the most dull-eyed, more or less inoffensive punters in order to suss out whether they too have it in them to ( Read more... )

I rather feel as if I am meant to be somehow offended at this moment. Odd.

I come to your defence and you feel offended? Just what sort of ungrateful person are you?

Oh, then, I truly do not know. One is not meant to enjoy a defence consisting of a long line of putdowns, I do not believe. I think one is meant to feel offended, however, I truly do not.

I do not feel particularly thankful, but not offended either. Doubly odd.

I really do not care what your reaction is, to be truthful, as the entire point of this exercise was to point out the numerous flaws in others' line of logic. That it happened to reveal your flaws is mere happy accident.

Animals that we dine upon for meals are, more often than not, raised for the purpose of one day becoming food. When their lives are brought to an end, it is done so in the most compassionate and quick manner possible. They are not used as experiments for a rogue wizard to test out his Dark Magic on. There is a difference. Obviously.

How do you know how livestock is raised? Do your parents run a hen house? Furthermore, is it not true that your muggle society regularly experiments on animals for scientific purposes, often in grotesque and inhumane ways? I really don't care if they do, but if that is the case perhaps you ought to care equally about all this animal injustice.

Because I've researched the topic. As a matter of fact, no, my parents do not run a hen house. They are dentists.

Yes, certain factions in Muggle society experiment on animals for scientific purposes. I do not approve of this and I boycott any and all products that are a result of such experimentation.

I'd say something, but I frankly think this is a tired subject already. I hope people find somebody else to talk about soon.

I agree with you. It's hardly my fault that people are leaving comments trying to drag the issue out further.
