It doesn't look like taking a job with the Vegas PD is a good idea.  The income to cost of living ratio there is fabulous... if you buy.  If you need to hole up somewhere to save money for a down, forget it.  It's cheaper to buy than for me, Kristine, a live-in nanny, and the zoo to rent a place.  So, I sit tight and wait for Arnold to give the Sac ( Read more... )

Oh, lady, good luck on Half Dome! And everything.

There is so much change in the air at the moment, I feel like encouraging you in any way I can.

The child support thing is agonizing. What in the world is wrong with people?

Thank you! I hope you are right about change. I've been standing in line for it for a while now.

Fortunately, we can float for a while right now, so I'm not freaking out as much about the child support. I am more amused by the idiocy of these people. Ultimately, one of the reasons I want to get a job with a PD or sheriff dept so much is so that I will never need child support again. Then, any that comes will simply go toward Kristine's college fund or some extracurricular activity I couldn't otherwise afford.

We WERE hawt! And it was very, very fun to tell people we did Half Dome in that time... with a 30-minute lunch at the top. I'm gonna relive my glory days! (minus the gowns and crown).

i definately like the use of battle scars - women should be proud of what they've endured.

it's a shame "the system" is so screwed up when it comes to child support

I agree! My pregnancy certainly was a battle, too. Fortunately, I never endured anything risky to the baby, but HOLY CRAP! my body was not happy!
