DIY lyrics quiz (proving a stumper)

   The preliminary answers for the current lyrics quiz are in, and, as I predicted, most of the snippets have fallen pretty quickly to the usual suspects, but the theme remains unanswered. This one’s tough, and I suspect some of you will be angry with me when it is revealed.

Am I wrong on my theme guess? Or can you just not find the song I meant? (Tried to quote unique lyrics, but not a popular-airplay song) From the same song, I could also quote, "Hey, girl, you've got to take this moment/ Then let it slip away".

I know 18, I just can't remember the artist's name! Gaah!

In light of your original comment AND the above comment, despite not knowing the original song, I do believe you have hit upon the theme. Could you post something a little more mainstream, just so I can be sure?

So, the lyrics you quote here are the only ones I can place to a song >.< I only know three of the songs that have been identified... I think I'd really enjoy these quizzes if there was more overlap between mine and T's tastes in music!
