I hope they go with the War of the Second Age as the other movie. As much as I love The Hobbit, splitting the book into two movies would just... drag it out, IMO.

I heard this on the radio yesterday and wondered what the sequel to the Hobbit was. Are they splitting the book in two or is there another book that I'm unaware of? They never give a name in the article or on the radio which was basically the same as what you linked.

I'm curious who's going to direct.

Thank God,they are going to make THE HOBBIT!But isn't LOTR the sequel to THE HOBBIT?Or are they going to go back in time and tell the story of The Last Alliance which go the whole ball rolling in the first place?Just some thoughts.
