В попытках распутать паутину Рашагейта Рэйчел Мэддоу иногда приходится размусоливать одну новость на целый час. Но вчера новостей навалилось много, и передача получилась информационно насыщенной.

1. Попытка наехать на Сьюзан Райс за "unmasking" сотрудников Трампа свелась к наступлению на грабли. Выясняется, что для unmasking была законная причина: выяснение причины приезда в Нью-Йорк в декабре прошлого года шейха Мухаммада ибн Зайд аль-Нахайяна, наследного принца Абу-Даби.

The crown prince, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, arrived in New York last December in the transition period before Trump was sworn into office for a meeting with several top Trump officials, including Michael Flynn, the president's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and his top strategist Steve Bannon, sources said.

In an unusual breach of protocol, the UAE did not notify the Obama administration in advance of the visit, though officials found out because Zayed’s name appeared on a flight manifest.
Officials said Zayed and his brother, the UAE’s national security adviser, coordinated the Seychelles meeting with Russian government officials with the goal of establishing an unofficial back channel between Trump and Putin.

О своей поездке на Ближний Восток в июне 2015 для продвижения сделки об атомных элекростанциях Флинн умолчал при получении доступа к секретным материалам, что само по себе является серьезным преступлением. Письмо демократов Конгресса:
