В пятницу вечером Комиссия Сената по разведке задержались допоздна на секретный брифинг от директора ФБР. О чем шла речь на брифинге, не сообщается, но можно догадаться из короткого заявления члена комиссии Марко Рубио:

Sen. Mark Warner, the top Democrat on the Intelligence committee, did not answer questions about the focus of the Comey briefing Friday. But he did talk about the extent of the investigation he is building with Senate Intelligence Chairman Richard Burr. "What we are trying to do -- and I give Richard (Burr) a lot of credit -- is to not have this devolve into a partisan food fight that doesn't serve the public purpose. This is so important that we get it right," Warner said. "But the amount of manipulation, why there's not more outrage about the fact there were close to 1,000 Russian internet trolls, actual people, working trying to manipulate our news."

The Senate intelligence committee has sent formal requests to more than a dozen organizations, agencies and individuals, asking them to preserve all materials related to a probe the panel is conducting on Russian interference in the 2016 election and related issues, a congressional aide said Saturday.

Reuters сообщает о том, что ФБР ведёт три параллельных расследования российского вмешательства в выборы. Отделения ФБР в Питтсбурге и Сан Франциско заняты расследованием хакерских атак и установлением личности хакеров. Одновременно отделение контрразведки ФБР в Вашингтоне расследует контакты Трампа и его сотрудников с российскими спецслужбами, включая прослушки разговоров и финансовые транзакции.

This counterintelligence inquiry includes but is not limited to examination of financial transactions by Russian individuals and companies who are believed to have links to Trump associates. The transactions under scrutiny involve investments by Russians in overseas entities that appear to have been undertaken through middlemen and front companies, two people briefed on the probe said.
