They told you if you don't feel better to call them again. You don't really need to wait. They said that because most of the time it just takes time for antibiotics to work. Continued severe pain is NOT what they want you to wait for- especially if the antibiotics have run out

A doctor's visit is only a $30 co-pay ? I say "only" because I have lived without health insurance for over a decade. When I get sick enough to warrant a doctor's visit, I start studying my finances to see how to afford to *go* to the doctor. Thus... I don't say I will go to the doctor very often, and I am not quick to recommend the same.
In your case, though, I think a COMPETENT doctor is a requirement. The kind of pain and resistance to antibiotics sound fairly serious to me, and I am kind of saddened by the care you have already received.
I am pretty sure we'd all like to keep you around longer, and that you'd like to not be in this much pain. I really hope that you can get some better medical advice soon !
