Title: Destination: Cancelled
Rating: PG-13 (For Language)
Genre: Horror/Supernatural
Format: Movie Script
Warnings: Contains mild language and horror. The rating may increase for future chapters.
Summary: Six American and six English teenagers are told they've been selected to go to Washington DC on a school trip but things go horribly wrong when their planes land at an airport in the middle of nowhere and then their bus crashes on the way to a nearby hotel. When they wake up alone and afraid in an ancient house in the middle of the woods, it seems like things can't get any worse but little do they know that the traumas they have already suffered are nothing in comparison to what lies ahead.
Disclaimer: The plot and all of the characters were created by me. Please do not repost this script elsewhere on the web without first getting my permission.
Notes: Only one short scene under the cut that I'm not particularly happy with so it's highly likely to be completely re-written at some point.

Scene 02

Open on a shot of a plane, passing across the sky. We pan down to see a large, busy airport, which a sign reveals to be Manchester Airport. The sky is fairly dark, although it is only mid afternoon, and it is raining heavily. A large minibus pulls up outside the airport and we close in on each of six teenagers (all 15/16 years old, just finished High School) as they climb out.

(Autumn) The first to emerge from the vehicle is a girl with long copper hair pulled back into a ponytail, who climbs out of the front seat. She is holding a large folder in her arms and looks happy at the prospect of being in the airport, even in the pouring rain. She is wearing black trousers with short-heeled stiletto boots and a pink three-quarter sleeved shirt under a long black coat.

(Alicia) The second girl climbs out of the side door, headphones on, holding a book with a doodled cover over her head as a makeshift umbrella. She is just under average weight and about 5’1” in height. She has loosely curled long brown hair and is wearing a yellow t-shirt under a short black jacket with slightly baggy jeans and a pair of black converse boots. She glances up at the airport before turning back to pull an overnight bag from the car.

(Lucy) The third to emerge from the minibus, another girl, is fairly tall with shoulder-length dirty blonde hair and glasses. She is wearing trainers, jeans and a stripy polo-neck jumper under a denim jacket. She lifts her backpack onto her shoulder and glances around.

(Gary) Next, a tall guy with short black hair steps out and glances around. He is wearing jeans, a blue shirt and a thick dark green coat.

(Mac) Fifth to climb out of the bus is a short, chubby looking guy with cropper ginger hair. He is wearing jeans, a Manchester United football shirt and trainers.

(Sarah) Last to climb out is a fairly petite girl, around 5’4” in height, with bleached blonde hair. She is wearing a denim skirt with flat suede boots, a pink strappy top and a short pink cardigan. She yelps as she steps out into the rain and quickly dashes across the road to stand under the overhanging roof of the airport entrance.

Outside the minibus, the other five begin to unload their luggage. Autumn drags her suitcase to the front of the minibus and leans in the door to talk to the driver, a woman with glasses whom appears to be about thirty years old.

Autumn: “Don’t worry Ms. Jenson, we’ll be fine. I have all our tickets and everything.”

The girl smiles as she holds up the folder.

Autumn: “We’ll be sure to let you know when we arrive.”

The teacher nods. The copper-haired girl shuts the car door. Cut to the back of the minibus where the short, chubby guy is stood. Next to him is the taller, intelligent looking guy who is lifting his small suitcase out of the boot of the car.

Mac: “Hey, Sarah left her case here.”

When the taller guy doesn’t reply, short and chubby shrugs and lifts it out of the boot.

Mac: “I guess I’ll just take it then. Maybe she’ll be extra grateful.”

He grins. The brunette punk girl we saw before overhears short and chubby as she is putting her MP3 player and headphones into her bag.

Alicia: “Wouldn’t get your hopes up, Mac.”

He looks slightly deflated but proceeds to drag Sarah’s red case and pink overnight bag, along with his own overnight bag, across the road.

Cut to inside the airport. The copper-haired girl is stood glancing from her open folder to the many check-in desks. The other five make their way up to her, dragging suitcases and carrying overnight bags.

Alicia: “So where now, Autumn?”

Autumn scans the check-in desks, looking thoughtful, then points to one.

Autumn: “That one, I believe.”

She gets hold of the handle of her suitcase and begins to drag it across the airport.

Autumn: “Keep up, we don’t want to miss the flight.”

Mac: “Yeah, we’ve only got about four hours until we have to be on the plane.”

He shakes his head as he glances at Alicia. Alicia smirks.
