Poor Socko, this seems so sudden! I think you did the right thing. If you had sent him there to be alone all weekend and then had to face the same thing, you'd feel awful about that. I had to make a decision like that for my cockatiel and I felt like I made the wrong one because I let him stay with the vet (and he wasn't even going to be alone, just away from me). I think Socko was glad to be at home with you both for his last days. I know we were texting yesterday, but if you just want to talk about anything let me know.

He was a great big goofball with a kindly heart. And he was, yes, adorable. I bet the Goddess of Dogs will welcome him into her high household with many biscuits and treats. She will coodle him doon and smile upon his friends, the Beaver Girls, for sharing their fine, fine home with him. You three were blessed to know each other.
