Time gets away from us -- but two can play that game. Let's fire up the time machine for the Past-Prompt-Palooza… amnesty for the busy writer and artist.

Wait, how do I do such magic? )

I'm popping in to say that I'm still alive, as if writing it out will make it true :-(

Long story short, a lot of half-hearted attempts to be gainfully employed resulted in a tsunami of work, and because it's all contract-based, it came all at the same time. I haven't read or written anything in a month, but I suppose professionally it's a good thing.

I certainly hope it is true...

Hey, work is good. I hope some of it leads to good things for you.

I am holding out for summer. I'm grading my students' narratives this week. One yesterday earned a D. I felt guilty as I wrote out the score, thinking Still better than any fiction I've written in the past month! So I arbitrarily gave them a few extra points so that at least it was a D+. ;)

Do I have to choose one I haven't done before? My only choice is "button" and I spent all last week wracking my brain and failing to come up with a story.

Maybe dig way back in the "short challenge: prompt post" archives? "skip=20," that sort of thing.

I still marvel at some of the brilliant prompts from a few years back that we, as a comm, never delivered on. :D

Are there any in particular you have in mind? It's easier for me to be given a prompt than to choose one.

From the old days.

I skipped to 260 and snagged the first one that was visible. :)

Incidentally, meet the button. You are going to be too good to get sucked into the vortex, I know. But a girl can dream.

Thank you for the birthday wishes! And for advertising my stories, that's very kind. :)
