Mom: I wonder what happen my blood phressure medicine?
Dad: .......HEAD OF LETTUCE!?

House in Oregon has high ceilings and empty rooms. The echo combined with my Dad's steadily increasing hearing loss has some pretty nice results. I think Mom's favorite was the one in the Goodwill, though, with the “discount at check stand three” that left Dad ( Read more... )

I saw Gail at my orientation giving out information about helping exchange students and such. I didn't know who it was until I mentioned my friend Nora who told me about a class like that. She lit up and was so happy. "Oh, of course I know Nora!" So if her name was mentioned in connection to the Fulbright thing, I really wouldn't write her off as not remembering you and only recommending you because somebody put her up to it. It seems like that's what you thought about her, if I remember right.

Oh, no, Gail wasn't the one that recommended me for Fulbright. She was the one person I thought of when the guy asked if there was anyone I knew who might write me a letter of recommendation. ^_^; Gail likes Nora. And it makes me slightly less uncomfortable than usual since Nora likes Gail as well. Gail is good. (So you've finished orientation? So you can register now?? Are you thinking about doing the exchange student classes or anything?)

Yes, I can register now! And I really should, considering I have internets now. But I really wanted to sit down with you and compare schedules to see what I should sign up for!

I am thinking about taking ANYTHING easy and fun that I can use to bring up my GPA. I'm 4 credits short of being a Junior, so I'm still stuck with 100 and 200 level classes for the most part, though.
