As pure, literal "luck" would have it, the pug at the SPCA was not adopted, as I was told.
I checked my voicemails yesterday, and had recieved a call from the SPCA manager letting me know that my landlord had approved of adopting him, and my application came in first. All they needed to wait on was a chance for me to bring in my boyfriend so he could visit him.
I was ecstatic. I called her back immediately, and explained to her that I had come in and was told he was already adopted. She apologized, and assured he was still available if I wanted him. My boyfriend and I just got back from visiting him, and he fell in love with him. We finalized everything, paid the $104 [heartworm, nuetering, rabies, all other necessities] and we pick him up Monday after his surgery.
We went out and bought his new bed, food/water bowl, toys, brush, collar, leash, and so on and so forth.
What food does everyone recommend? He's two years old, slightly overweight but nothing drastic. I've gotten so many mixed opinions about the best food that I figured it best to ask the experts.
Will post pictures under a cut after he's brought home and settled in a bit!
