i. Thanks for the birthday wishes, everyone. The rest of my birthday also turned out very well, and it is nice to have money again, sort of!

ii. I finished Princess Tutu. That will get its own actual reaction post later, but suffice to say: alksdjhfal/kjdsfadsSQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE and I might have to revise that whole not-writing-fic-for-it ( Read more... )

process: part preparation and part panic, original: sweet rabbit, awesome things by awesome people, challenge: yuletide, original fiction

Eeee Yuletide. I'm requesting Mad Men, Inglourious Basterds and Moon; and will be offering Mad Men, Basterds and Ponyo (where the hell did that come from).

I dunno, but it sounds like a good list!

...I find that requesting's often a lot harder for me than offering is; I usually offer at least fifteen fandoms, but coming up with requests takes forever. I think I'm requesting Swordspoint, but as for the others -- noooooo idea whatsoever. (I would request Outlander, but I'm not exactly far into the series and I worry that the canon might already cover the kind of story I'd ask for.)

Oh, yeah, also offering Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei, because I want to see if I can write a fic that is structured like the show. Craaaazy

Sorry for piggybacking on someone else's comment--but color me awed on the fifteen fandoms thing. I think I'm kind of a serial monogamist when it comes to fandoms, though sometimes I have something on the side here and there to dabble with. I might be screwed on Yuletide because so far the only fandoms I think I can offer are ASoIaF and Maiden Rose. It could be that I'll be a reader-only this year.

Also, I said "yes" to the filter, but I hope you won't need timely comments because I tend to lag far, far behind internet time...

Oh, I LOVED Princess Tutu!! I think it was one of those fantastic animes that really slipped through the cracks of the general fandom populace.

I MISSED YOUR BIRTHDAY?! WAAH!!! ^__^ Hope it was a happy one anyways!

IT IS SO AWESOME OH GOSH I COULD TALK ABOUT HOW AWESOME IT IS FOREVER and also Princess Tutu shows me that I do like canon het sometimes, apparently. When there's a duck involved.

It was, and thanks!

You should offer Princess Tutu for Yuletide!! God, I love SO many things about that series. I had no idea an anime about ballet could be so awesome! It reminded me a lot of Utena.

Have you seen this video for it yet?

I am participating in Hetalia secret Santas for the yuletide. I'm writing in the Us/Uk one, and RUNNING the entire Franada one. oh dear God, the things I do for my pairings

Also: You had me at "Age of Sail", but "silver fox" sealed the deal for me. Anything I can do for you involving this, just drop me a line.

I skipped on the US/UK one because I have such a hard time prompting other people for anything having to do with the pairing -- if I get an idea for the boys, I either write it myself or bug Mith to write it with me. But I'm glad that one seems to have taken off as much as it did! (And good luck running the Franada one.)

*griiiiiin* I shall keep you posted, then! (I do love our silver fox. ...we are possibly shamefully indulging in our agekink thing because he is about twice the protagonist's age BUT THAT'S OKAY.)
