Yes, that north wind this morning was really chilly.

Though the Secret Garden is always a suntrap even on a cold day, walled along three sides, but open to the south to let the sun in.

I saw yellow roses in flower this morning. Down in a sheltered valley, against a south-facing wall - but still impossibly early. Our seasons are becoming confused.

That is a very long winter...

Yes, winter is very long. I see snow in April every year. Not every year, but sometimes I see snow in May. But once I saw snow in June!
