Moonbow

6am in the forest. A moonbow drawing a perfect circle round the waning moon. Just within the faint circle of light, one star, Capella. Just outside the circle, Jupiter. If the stars and planets have taken up curling, they are not very good at it yet.

Moonbow~ I have never heard that term before, but I am glad to now have a name for that unusual phenomenon.

They seem quite rare. I don't think I see one more than once or twice a year.
