No, these were taken with the old camera last weekend. As soon as I ordered a replacement, the shutter buttton on the old camera decided to start working again, as is the Way of Things.
Southover is very easy to miss - one of those little hamlets tucked away down the end of a lane.
Southover House is wonderful! In the last picture of the house it almost looks like the walls are coursed cobblestones between bands of flat stones. Nice thatched roof too!
Yes, Southover House is fabulous. I love old houses with an accumulation of different styles and materials. I think the back wing might be 17th century handmade brick between the layers of stone.
we also expect a harvest of apples this year - all the neighbors can see ripe fruits. We put a support - a long board under the heavy branches of the apple tree
