Hi there people!! I have many friends (I'm pointing at you Carla! xDD) who always ask me to post some pictures of where I live aka Macau. Today I'll start with Coloane (Macau is formed by the Macau peninsula itself and two island, Taipa and Coloane, which are now connected by landfill forming the Cotai Strip), since it's one of the most "natural" ( Read more... )

Hi there - The street signs (blue writing in white tile) is very unique to Macau, it's one of the things I remembered about your city. And does that street sign say "Salty Prawn Lane"? LOL! Thank you for the flower photos, the lotus seed one is especially interesting, I haven't ever seen one like that. The houses in the old area create a great atmosphere, I hope the buildings get protected and not demolished. Thanks again for sharing your photos...it's always nice to end with some delicious food!

Thanks dear for your warm comment ^^

I thought other cities had that kind of street signs too (I must know Macau better... xDD). And true, that street really does have a strange name "Salty Prawn"... xDD... yesterday I noticed a "Salty Fish Lane" xDD

haha...your post really won't be complete without food. So, that egg tart was originally from Portugal? It's pretty popular in Thailand. KFC here even has it on their dessert menu.

You know me girl, a post that's not fangirling over SMAP or lusting after Kimura must have some food on it... xDDD

But seriously, when I see a dish that it's well made or a very original dessert or something like that I feel a sudden urge to take a picture (and sorry for eating it) xDDD

From what I know, the original eggtart was from Portugal but nowadays there are a lot of different recipes and the taste may have changed too.

AND... we don't have KFC in Macau :( Only in China Mainland (but I know they have the efftarts too... xD)

Coloane really looks clean and so green :P You know Macau needs a lot more of green spaces, even a couple of trees could do wonders ;)
