Thank you for writing this fic, mystery-author!
I liked the way Jin was super nice and caring in your fic.
I was sometimes surprised at how much Jin focused on thinking and not acting but it was interesting to read! Maybe that was what they needed. To take their time and think. And care ❤.

Here are some snippets from the parts I liked the most:

Kame looks tense, restless, almost as if his whole body is curling involuntarily around some emotion inside he is unable to either contain or let go.
Man I could picture Kame there.
Reading this was so touching and intense.

Either way is okay, he reminds himself.

When he feels the wetness seeping through the thick cotton of his hoodie, it almost catches Jin by surprise.
*sob* ❤❤❤ it's okay, Kame... it's okay ;__; *hugs Kame*

has enough alcohol in it to… ‘take off the edge’, as you’ve put it.”
Hahaha why would they "take off the giri giri'
The giri giri is who they are xD.

everything - from the warm yellowish light in the kitchen to Kame in these baggy sweatpants, preparing the tea - feels ( ... )

Thank you for reading my fic, and I'm glad you liked it!

I was sometimes surprised at how much Jin focused on thinking and not acting
Well, this whole fic is in Jin's POV, and I firmly believe that we all think all the time, whether we pay attention to the process or not, even those of us who "jump first, think later" XD Besides, Jin here is a little unsure about how he can get close to Kame, which involves some additional thinking on his part.

reliving those painful moments was... well it was a bit painful
I guess, it was for me too, which may be, why I wrote it - just to get it all off my chest.

I won't lie, the part where he said he was Catholic was kind of a big, BIG surprise for me, I never expected him to say that xD.Well, he amended it himself immediately, telling that he is not really the church-going type, but well, there is a kind of almost inbred westerness about him, which his Catholicism may or may not be a part of - something that stay on from the earliest childhood impressions perhaps? And I remember him making a ( ... )

i have to admit i wasnt sure where will this all end up, but i liked it anyway ! it's interesting to think the whole hiatus was jin's idea, but based on how was Kame feeling here, totally right advice! it was also very hearbreaking to read about his feelings regarding the whole Taguchi leaving situation :/
i can also see the "me and my wife are just friends raising child together" is very popular idea amongst akame fic writers but that's also very understandable.. considering..and well also good idea :D that way Kame and Jin can be together and that's what it's all about at the end huh~
i liked this fic very much, thank you for taking your time and writing it <33

Thank you for reading! And thank you again for pinpointing the very idea this fic started from. To tell the truth, KAT-TUN must've been deathly tired of pushing on and on every time another member left, and still I could not see Kame or anyone else of them going against the very Japanese principle of pushing on no matter what, and then I thought, what if it was someone else Jin who suggested the hiatus?)))))
As to whole "me and my wife are just friends" idea... I know it's going a bit stale, but it's really hard to find some other device to let Akame get together in a near-canon fic that does involve Meisa, and does not picture her black. Blame for it my lack of imagination, and I sincerely hope that in the years to come Akame-writers come up with some fresher ideas)))

Awwww, this story is so sweet!! Thanks so much for writing it for me, and I’m so sorry I’m late with the commenting - it’s been a crazy month… : )

I love the idea of the two of them finding their way back to each other like this-no big bang, just a series of meetings, the two of them learning to lean on each other again, figuring out how they fit. And I think Kame totally would have benefitted from having Jin to lean on during the whole runup to the hiatus-that was a stressful time for all of them, and I like the way Jin squeezes his way into Kame’s life here to shoulder some of the weight.

And siiiigh… the “these things” they keep putting off. Leave it to them to talk and talk and always skirt around the primary subject. ^^ I’m glad they finally managed to work things out!

Jin and Kame may not ‘talk’ per se, but they still call each other sort of regularly. Jin’s calls - just a mumbled ‘Happy birthday, have a good year’, followed by a long silence and a measured ‘Thank you’. Kame’s - all smooth congratulations, making one wonder ( ... )

If someone listened on to their first night together, he’d probably decide Jin is making out with a dominatrix. When indeed Kame was all trembling fingers and tender lips… And it’s not at all a safe thing to remember right now.

LOL awwwww - this is lovely. : ) Such nice characterization, the way you bundle up and juxtapose Kame’s external bossiness with the sweetness and self-doubt that anyone who knows him can see on the inside. And Jiiiiin…stop trying not to remember things, you need to remember ALL THE THINGS… : )

“No,” - Kame shakes his head - “let’s talk… These past months, you did a lot for me, and that” - he sighs - “is making me mightily confused, Jin, so… I’d like us to set it straight, before I start imagining things that may not be there.”

<33

“They are there, you know…” he says softly. “The things that you are imagining. They’ve never really stopped being there at all.”

Awwww, Jiiiiiiiin <33 ( ... )
