[[After weeks of moping about after his encounter with Mytho, he emerges from the woods, and blinks down curiously at four small birds. They look rather strange but...

A shadow of a smirk appears on his face as he watches them, not noticing the girl beside the tree.]]

[[He glares right back, taking advantage of his much higher elevation to tower over her.]]

[[Fakir releases an aggravated sigh through his nose and runs a hand through his dark bangs. What the hell is she getting at!?]]

Look, idiot. I don't know what it is you're trying to get me to say, so you might as well just spit it out.

[Her lower lip trembles and tears are starting to form in her eyes, but she doesn't look any less mad. The pickies have decided to take this moment to form a circle around his feet and chirp loudly at him. He was definitely bad news.]

Yes you do! I heard all about the ones I was staying with, and since you're from Kinkan too I know you're not telling me!

[[He completely ignores the chirping at his feet, his scowl hardening. However, at the sight of her tears, he inwardly begins to panic. Oh, she better NOT cry on him!]]

[[And old habits die hard. One hand shoots out to grasp her arm firmly--though, not quite as harshly as he had in the past. He makes sure of that.]]

[She looks down at his hand in a bit of surprise, but it's not enough to change her current expression completely. A few stray tears work their way down her face as she begins struggling.

The pickies sense danger. They start flapping their wings now, trying to make an imposing display. It isn't by a long shot, but they're really trying.]

Let me GO!! You can't just use me when you need me! I know you two are just gonna toss me aside once I'm done!

[[He gives her arm a slight shake, eyes swimming with confusion.]]

[[And Fakir loses it.]]

[She keeps trying to free her arm, tears now streaming down her cheeks though you wouldn't guess she's crying from the way she's still yelling.]

[She stops struggling to frown at him in confusion. That certainly wasn't the response she expected from him, but she wasn't letting him lie his way out of it that easily.]

[Ahiru sobs a bit, the sadness finally seeming to take over the anger just a little bit.]
