The Challenge

Goal 1: 3 hours / week on a personal project This was as expected the hardest one. As for your weight measurement, weighing yourself at a consistent time each day is the way to go. However, it's really only going to get you more data points (though you might be into that kind of thing :P ). Weight doesn't just fluctuate through out the day, but day to day, as well. Weighing yourself at the same time, once a week, should be sufficient.

One thing that's worked for me with maintaining a diet (I stick to the Zone Diet, but my exercise routine is much more brutal than yours) has been to make a week's worth of lunch on Sunday and keep it in the fridge or freezer (depending on what I make). It's easier to do all the work at once; you just grab your lunch (and a healthy snack) on your way out the door, and you're good to go for the day.

Lucky for me, Chris makes fairly healthy dinners and I take the leftovers for lunch the next day. I just have to eat slightly smaller proportions :-)
