Hilarity in One Act

[INT. Evening. Cameron is playing video games; Peggy is shuffling through a lot of papers.]

Peggy: So, I found all these massive cachets of work on my fanfic while I was cleaning up today.
Cameron: [plays DragonQuest VIII]
Peggy: [shuffles through them] Oh man. Here's a hint. If you keep paper and something to write with by your bed, that's good. ( Read more... )

Peggy: Well, sort of. I mean, robot ninjas are actually an established character in Jonny Quest.
Cameron: SWEET.
Peggy: But you still shouldn't give your friends cameos.

I just realized that it really sounds like I'm saying that I'm friends with the robot ninjas.

CLEARLY I am not going to correct this hilarious mistake.

ps who knows... maybe I am friends with robot ninjas!!!

You told me you were going to keep this under wraps!

I'm very dissapointed. I had to move to Oregon because someone else blew my cover. Now? Now, I have to move to Tibet. :P

But... but... you will love Tibet! Don't try to make this my fault!!

ps, are you familiar with the Zinjas? They are quite hilarious.

I think this is part of why I am having such a hard time on the actual fic I am actually writing. Because I went back to the old stuff to remind myself of the characters and I was like...wait, why do people keep telling me to write more? This is not good! Not. Good. At. All. The new one is better though.

Or so I keep telling myself.

Darnit Peggy, now I want to write on it and I need to go to sleep. I blame you for all my problems.

Well, that's what you have to keep telling yourself: "the new one is better." I have decided to eschew continuity in favor of not having to reread the horror that is T&S ever again. :D

WRITE WRITE WRITE. DOO EET. We can start a club!

I am totally working on it! I'm not eschewing continuity. I'm doing...historical revisions! She's magic! she can totally change the past!

Oh dear...I haven't heard of LJ Smith in years...

I'm not sure that writing like her is a terribly good thing at all...

But yes. Robot ninjas.

With lasers for eyes.

I'd totally read that ^_^

SHE RULES STOP HATIN'.

Ahahahahaha. By which I mean: well, she's no worse than any other mass-market fiction author, really, even if her plots are totally predictable. (I find they're no worse than, say, any romance novel ever.)

The robot ninjas ("zinjas") do not have lasers for eyes. PLEASE. That would be RIDICULOUS.

[here's where I would insert a picture of a Zinja, except that I can't find one ANYWHERE... for once, the interweb has FAILED ME]

they shoot shuriken out of their hands. and ride motorcycles.

So - is DQ VIII any good?

I wasn't that impressed with VII.

Cameron and his friends OMGLOVEIT. A lot. At parties, they spend large blocks of time talking about it. As far as RPGs go, it's actually pretty fun & funny to watch. The female character's breasts have Realistic Bouncing Action (despite their lack of Realistic Sizing).

Cameron says I can tell you that it rules, and that he didn't play VII but he heard it was "balls-ass" from one of the guys who loves VIII.
