Hilarity in One Act
[INT. Evening. Cameron is playing video games; Peggy is shuffling through a lot of papers.]
Peggy: So, I found all these massive cachets of work on my fanfic while I was cleaning up today.
Cameron: [plays DragonQuest VIII]
Peggy: [shuffles through them] Oh man. Here's a hint. If you keep paper and something to write with by your bed, that's good. But make sure the thing you have to write with isn't a yellow marker, and the paper you write on doesn't already have stuff on it.
Cameron: [plays DragonQuest VIII]
Peggy: ...especially if the "stuff" on it is "Ode to a Chicken Launcher."
Cameron: [plays DragonQuest VIII]
Peggy: ...this is actually kind of funny... I broke a chicken launcher and had to travel into outer space to have it repaired.
Cameron: [plays DragonQuest VIII; laughs at (with?) Peggy]
Peggy: OH EM EFF GEE FANFIC. A tip: do not give your friends cameos.
Cameron: [stifles snicker; plays DragonQuest VIII]
Peggy: Paging Dr. Mitchel!

Peggy: [LOLERSKATES]
Cameron: [plays DragonQuest VIII] When you look back on your old stuff, is it any good?
Peggy: Well, considering I was 14, yeah, I think it's pretty dece.

Peggy: So, I actually am rewriting this story that I wrote, and then decided it was SO BAD that it could no longer exist on the internet.

Peggy: Because it involved robot ninjas on motorcycles.
Cameron: ...really??
Peggy: ...yes.
Cameron: THAT IS AWESOME. [plays DragonQuest VIII]
Peggy: Well, sort of. I mean, robot ninjas are actually an established character in Jonny Quest.
Cameron: SWEET.
Peggy: But you still shouldn't give your friends cameos. Also? It is set in New York, where I have never been.

Peggy: OH EM GEE I HAD COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN THE MISTAKEN-IDENTITY-AND-KIDNAPPING-AT-A-MASQUERADE-BALL-IN-NEW-YORK-CITY PART OF THIS ATROCITY.

Peggy: ...and I have just realized how badly it rips of L.J. Smith.
Cameron: ...?
Peggy: She writes teen vampire romance novels.
Cameron: ...???
Peggy: She pretty much invented the genre.
