Heavy, she sat.
Like a cow filled with helium,
two children upstairs.
Already too late to arrive,
she was later than usual.
A knock on the door, but only
the tapping of a memory.
It sloshed around inside her,
full to the brim.
Ready to explode, she though.
Protective measures-
cover the furniture,
just in case.
He watched her,
not looking.
