Time to stir up some shit

With all that we keep hearing about "transgenders,"  I have an honest question (despite the subject line.)  How is "transgender" not classified as a mental illness?  In all seriousness, it is a delusion...a denial of reality.  You are genetically a certain gender, and physically that same gender, but you believe otherwise?

Except things don't actually work that way. There are X0, XXY, XYY, XXX, XXXX, XXXY, et al, there are people who have Y chromosomes who nonetheless don't produce male hormones.

I'm not talking about those with the chromosomal anomalies. I'm talking about those with XX or XY.

As for an XY who doesn't produce male hormones, that is another medical disorder that would be properly treated with male hormones, not by denying their DNA.

Treating them with male hormones won't do anything. Their bodies don't react to male hormones.

You didn't say anything about not reacting to them...you said not producing them. Completely different issue.

Besides, even women have male hormones, just at a much lower level. Denying the DNA is still not the best course of action. And to how many "transgenders" does this really apply, anyway? If they have to be given the hormones of the other gender to start the changes, they obviously aren't producing those hormones, either.
