There is a song by the group Nickelback called "Savin' Me". The video that goes with it is a real eye-opener. If you haven't heard the song or seen the video, you can do so here: http://www.nickelback.com/ (click on the Eyes and Ears tab, select List for a list of videos and click on "Savin Me" to watch it).

I would not. Much like you, I would become a stress ball as the day of soom approached, or I would spend my last days on Earth trying to get a few last things done such as getting published, and ignore everything else when I should be living.

Yeah...I'd rather spend my time on this earth focusing on my loved one lives and not on their impending deaths. Yes, everyone goes, but there's a lot of life to be lived in the meantime.

You should go see "Stranger Than Fiction". Trust me. It's not a slapstick movie, it's a rather thoughtful, insightful, witty movie that has a pretty strong relationship to the above. Trust me.

Do you trust someone who says "trust me" twice in one paragraph? You should in this case. [smile].

I do trust you. I'll make sure I see it when the DVD is released.

What is your answer my friend? Would you want to know?

I would not want to know. I want to live like that number above my head is always ONE. But I don't want to know when it is.

I wouldn't want to know...

It's sad that that it often takes a "life shattering" experience (like a diagnosis of cancer) to make one more appreciative of life and the people in our lives...

I've always worked hard to let the people in my life know that how much I care about them...
Even before my diagnosis 10 years ago...
To me there is more "love" then just saying the word...
My diagnosis made me realize that in addition to loving/showing love to the people in my life, I have to learn to be good to myself...

And so...
I cherish every moment with the people who are special to me...
And each day I strive to take good care of me and not feel guilty about it...

You have more reason than most to live for today
I admire your strength
I know you've had some bad days lately, but you hang in there and you fight
You show such courage and such faith
And your attitude is such an inspiration to me

I continue to pray for you

((hugs))
