I'm a thirtysomething new mom of a 3yo boy adopted from China. The kiddo, who goes by the name "AwesomeCloud" here on the internet, keeps me busy most of the time, so I don't post or read LJ as often as I did when I was childless. But I like to make new LJ friends anyway, because people are interesting.

I live on Cape Cod and I'm a bit of an environmentalist. I volunteer for Audubon and any number of other eco-orgs (Marine Stranding Network, Frogwatch USA, that kind of thing). I'm fascinated by science, though I'm not a scientist myself. I'm an artist. I plan to do more with art when the boy starts school. Right now it's hard to be productive.

My husband and I own an indy comic book company called Dandelion Studios, and I'm still drawing comic books now and then. We do the con circuit with our son and we can be seen at occasional geek, gaming, and steampunk events throughout New England
