Stumbling on over from annietopia's lj.
My name is Nicky and I am 34 years old. I live in Minnesota with my husband and two cats, Goldfinger and Guinness. I recently found out that I was pregnant so we will have a little one in October. It's still really early so I am a bit nervous due to my past history with losses. So right now I do write a bit about that but it's all under a cut as I know some folks probably don't want to read about it but if they do they can.
I work a large law firm (large meaning 12 offices) in the Conflicts Department. I have a few to many degrees: Paralegal, BA in Political Science and all the course work done for a Masters Degree in Education. I was hoping to student teach when my husband finished school. He is a law enforcement grade but is still looking for work. Now with the little one coming as well I am not sure if I will be able to do the teaching license part of the degree or not but if not I will just take the Masters and see what I can do with that.
My LJ is full of a little bit of everything: day to day stuff, a meme here and there, photos I have taken, thoughts, feelings, random things about movies I have watched, etc.
My interests range from photography, bellydancing (I need to find a new class and I have been taking classes for almost 4 years), reading, watching movies, watching some TV shows, meeting new people, etsy (I have a shop on there), planning science fiction conventions, attending science fiction conventions, etc..
