Got my blood drawn yesterday for my physical - results just came in. Last year at this time, my cholesterol was 326. This year, 285, and the ratio of good to bad is much better. YAY! I've lost 5 inches around my waist, 4 around my hips and chest - I got into my size 10 jeans this weekend - AND my cholesterol is better. In 2 pounds, I'll have lost

Strangely enough it doesn't feel like hard work or commitment, until someone says that and I think "oh...yeah...it kind of is..."
I guess I never tried to eat like this before - I literally have fruit and/or veggies at every single meal, and many times for snacks. I haven't had a Pop Tart in MONTHS, and I ate a package for breakfast every working day for years. Now that the kids are back in school, there is not a single solitary "premade convenient" bit of food in the bags when we go grocery shopping - and the cart doesn't fill until we hit the produce section. And I really LIKE what I'm eating!
It feels awesome to see the changes. I hope I can keep this going. =)
