Started Red Yeast Rice suppliments today, along with CoQ10 - once a day, in conjunction with Niacin, based on doctor's recommendation - worth a try, as long as I stay educated on this one. Watch for pain and other symptoms.

Got my blood drawn yesterday for my physical - results just came in. Last year at this time, my cholesterol was 326. This year, 285, and the ratio of good to bad is much better. YAY! Suggestions to try a couple of other OTC things like Cholestoff (which I used to take but stopped, I dont remember why) and Red Yeast (umm...that's what statin drugs are based on?). The ups and downs at work are so swift lately I'm getting whiplash.  All in all it's really good...but every once in a while I have to almost physically restrain myself from lashing out verbally (figure that one out) at some folks.  I'm just working hard at keeping my head up and staying above all the drama, and being recognized for doing good work ( Read more... )

Looks really nice out, should be nice this weekend too - going to see if Kelsey wants to come with me to buy some new clothes, otherwise plan on taking it easy. I have had a headache ongoing for days and last night it got really bad - could be sinus, could be stress, could be stupid glasses, who knows. Day 3, no amitriptyline, no sleep.  Heart rate 90.  DEFINTELY going down.  Headache back with a vengence, confusion/stupidity rising, body and joint pain severity rising, irritability coming along for the ride.
