Before I get started, I would first like to say that I completely apologize if what I am about to write might offend anyone, as this is not my intention. I know that I have friends out there that don't believe in an after-life, and I know that some out there don't believe in the existence of Christ. And people wonder why I call myself a "recovering Christian." ;) I agree with your points, but have found in my travels that those who claim to be the most religious are also those that are the must judgemental, even when their religion tells them not to be. It's a shame, really. I think folks would be happier if they actually followed some of the stuff in their religious teacings rather than using it as a filter for their judgements.

That's the same "church" that protests soldiers' funerals and says that things like Hurricane Katrina are god's punishment to us for allowing homosexuality and all sorts of other stuff to happen. They'd love the Creation Museum.

I had heard about them protesting the soldiers funerals but I hadn't heard of the Hurricane Katrina thing. That really isn't that shocking in what I'm learning about this church, but it truly saddens me that people really think like that. UGH.
