My Fanwork Policy

Help spread the word on podfic (you don't need to be a podficcer to join in!).

Blanket permission is a way for fan artists to let other fans know their comfort with others playing with their works. It's particularly helpful to podficcers when authors give blanket permission for anyone to podfic their works without having to ask first. This was prompted by pod_aware, but I'd be thrilled to bits for any kind of fanwork of my fanworks. I love the idea of a fanwork growing into something the community at large interacts with by expanding on it. - For all works that are posted publicly, I give blanket permission for podfics, artwork, fanvids, mixes, sequels, remixes, translations, ect... of my fanworks. I just ask that you credit my work as the inspiration for your work and link back to my original work, and send me a link to your work so I can squee over it and link others to it.
- For works that are posted flocked (DW or LJ) or locked to user accounts only (AO3), please ask first.
- Also, I give permission for multiple people to podfic my works. More podfic is always better, and I'd enjoy hearing different versions of my fic.
- I do not give permission for any of my works to be archived anywhere without asking. By 'archived' I mean uploaded into an archive, posted in a LJ or DW journal or community, or sent out to a mailing list. Please ask if you are interested in including my fic in a collection, I'd be very interested to hear your request. If you are on AO3, you don't need my permission to bookmark my works to your Collection, as I still retain control over my fanwork.
- Feel free to rec my fic anywhere within the fannish sphere without asking first - just don't send a link of my Urbine fic to the Trek cast, or anything like that. If you do rec my fic I'd love to hear about it, of course.
