I have a similar theory (one of many) about this that also has something to do with zombie apocalypse. I was thinking it might be something to free Itachi from Kabuto's control temporarily; a sort of "free will for five minutes" type thing. That way, he could use that darn sword himself. XD

Also, he could go looking for Sasuke and knock some sense into him. And then his soul could be freed by Sasuke promising to stop being a crazy jackass. >.> *pets theory*

I wonder how long it will be before we find out? Naruto's got to be drawn into the Zombie Wars at some point, at it seems like Sasuke is probably the trigger somehow... Potentially, Itachi's zombie could be the trigger, but it seems more likely that Itachi is doing this for Sasuke.
