Walk with confidence!

This is probably the best advice I ever recieved in a chem lab. Before, I'd walk hesitantly, not sure about what I was doing, or if I was doing it right; lots of chem students do it. If you walk with confidence people don't ask you if you're lost.
My lab demonstrator at the time was well known for being zealous in doing things right and knowing why ( Read more... )

The article you linked is particularly fascinating, though somewhat rage-inducing.

Incidentally, the title "walk with confidence" makes me think of a more day-to-day kind of thing: chin up, eyes at the horizon, etc. If I was writing on this same topic (and it *is* a topic listed in my ideas.txt file!), I think I would have taken this in a different, somewhat more superficial direction.

The only reason i wanted to write it is cause of the chem story. It was a bit of a turning point...
