There are five people.

One says Four is a liar. Two also claims that Three is a liar. Three insists that One is telling the truth. Four tells that Five isn't honest. Five accuses Two of lying.

Two are liars, and three tell the truth.

Who are the liars?

[ooc: Totally not stealing this from someone. >_>]

Does it matter? Assume everyone's lying and figure out what truth you can from there.

There, solved it.

Then what truth were you able to figure out?

Unless you're lying about it, of course.

Of course they are.

But people sometimes tell the truth, too. And three of them in that situation do so.

It sounds like one, three, and five are telling the truth, but two and four aren't.

Two and four are the liars.

'Cause it says "two are liars", and "three tell the truth".

Right?

Yes, exactly why solving them correctly gives one a burst of pride.

It's in most people's nature to have a desire to win, after all.

Riddles are fun to solve, especially to pass the time.
