There are five people.

One says Four is a liar. Two also claims that Three is a liar. Three insists that One is telling the truth. Four tells that Five isn't honest. Five accuses Two of lying.

Two are liars, and three tell the truth.

Who are the liars?

[ooc: Totally not stealing this from someone. >_>]

I was never good at those who's-the-liar or truth-telling or whatever, but I'm guessing this is a play on word's looking at the other answers.

Hard NOT to see, you might wanna make everyone go private next time if you don't want any cheats.

Well, I would, if I could. Can you automatically filter other people's posts?

Who cares?

Don't trust none a them.

Trust no one, and your world would be too small.

I'd rather a small world than be stabbed in the back.

But that won't be fun.

You would be lonely. You wouldn't change.

You wouldn't be living.

If... huh.

So two lie. An' if one is tha liar, then tha' means... No. One has ta be tellin' tha truth 'cause it goes in a circle. An' tha means 4 is lyin', an' 5 is good, an' 2 lies, an' 3 tells tha truth.

1, 3, an' 5, they tell tha truth.

About what are they lying?

Reply

pseudo_messiah September 2 2009, 11:48:13 UTC
On their opinions whether the others are liars, of course.

That doesn't state how strong the belief of the liars about their own truthfulness is.

Aren't you thinking a bit to deeply, sir? This is a riddle, and something not realistic, unfortunately. You have to assume that they know who are lying and who aren't.

What matters is if they're correct, or not.

Of course. It's all the word play, isn't it.
