Wasn't The Stand a TV miniseries back in the 90s?

Ah--I was about to say, 'Wasn't there already a Stand movie?'...but a miniseries works as well. Hmm. I wonder if the 'movie' will just be the series cut into a continuous story, kinda like how the old GI Joe ones were. :-)

Actually it's going to be where four groups of NFL players play a round robin and then a tournament to see who wins.

I think it's probably more like that d10 snowball was probably made by someone who has a high school math teacher as a parent.

Indeed...especially since it's a d12, not a d10. :-)

The most amazing thing about the guitar orchestra playing "Jurassic Park" is not that there's so many guitars. It's that not a single one of them -- even the conductor -- has the music in front of them! Not a music stand in sight!

There also weren't any kettle drums... Just a timpanist, guy with cymbals, and a double bass.

You know, I just realized something about today's FFN, and just have to say it: You have thrown down the Gauntlet. ;-)

About an hour up the road from here is an ice age fossil site, with plenty of Woolly Mammoth fossils. For the last few years, they've done a "thing" on Groundhogs day, but unless you've been to it, you have no idea what's going on. The advertisements are vague. They call it Woolly Day, and it made me wonder if the Woolly Mammoth was going to see his shadow? But, you know, as soon as you bring a woolly mammoth into the picture, that's automatically more winter than I care to deal with.
