Huzzah, Indeed!

May 05, 2011 22:35

I've been poking away at it for a few months now, but tonight I managed to get the last of my online stories uploaded on AO3. I polished off the last of my LJ stories a week or so ago, and have been working on the zine stories from my website, most of which needed formatting clean up. (Thanks to sineala for recommending TextWrangler. That program saved ( Read more... )

23 fandoms? I don't think I'm anywhere close to that. *admires*

I counted. You're at 25. 24, if you count both incarnations of Who as one. ::bows down before the master::

Really? Erm... forget the bowing, it's a mere technicality of my willingness to cross just about anything with one of my fandoms in a cracky way to amuse a mate/by request for a challenge. If you eliminate the single count for a cracky crossover ones I think I probably only have maybe five fandoms where I've written more than one story so I think your number is FAR more significant. *bows down before the true master*

One cock ring to rule them all. :D

I've got a whole lot of one shots in their too. (Though I have to admit, many of those involve Viggo and/or the Bean and can therefore probably be consider VigBean.) I'd say we're about even.

Wow, that's a lot of fandoms and stories. I don't think I even have 23 stories. Also I have observed that Yuletide stories get a lot of hits.

I am glad TextWrangler helped you.

It probably helps that I've been doing this fandom lark for nearly 20 years now. (TWenty years next year, in fact.) Yikes!

TextWrangler is brilliant. I wish I'd had it last year when I was fighting to convert those ereader files.

That Yuletide Hotel California one is glorious :)

I don't even need to look to know that my Sherlock fics will have the most hits - it's the only megafandom I've written in.

When I first got that Yuletide assignment, I thought "no way can I write anything using Hotel California." How wrong I was. ;-)

I'll have to take a look at your Sherlock fic sometime. (After briefly dipping my toe into Sherlock Holmes after the movie, I ran away fearing I would be washed away by the crazy amount of fic out there. I've never seen a show produce so much slash. But then, I usually avoid the big fandoms like the plague.)

I was never interested in reading in the RDJ SH fandom. I loved the movie for the actors and the action and the fun, but it wasn't Sherlock Holmes and the fic to me was just not quite SH, but without the visual shiny to distract me.

If you are interested in reading a few Sherlock fics, I can rec some awesome ones.

RDJ is not quite my Holmes, but Jude Law, surprisingly, is now my gold standard Watson.

Sherlock, however, is just all 'round awesome. I'd love a few recs. Including your own stories.

Congrats on all the work! I've only gotten as far as getting an account. Thankfully, I don't have anywhere near as many stories as you do!

And speaking of stories, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you manage a new UNCLE story or two. :-)

I've probably had the account for a year, and I sort of put up the Comfort and Joy stories and then stalled out. But having LJ under attack last month showed me the wisdom of making sure things were backed up somewhere else, so I just started plugging away, doing a few stories every night. It can be a bit daunting, but the interface is easy to work with, and I got to the point that I could get a story up in a few minutes, even if it needed a formatting tweak.

I do have a new UNCLE story on the go, but it's one with need for a very tight, complex structure so it's going to be slow slogging. But I will get it done. If it kills me!
