Title: Strangers in Red Chapter: Closed Doors Authors: cmar and germankitty Relationships: Jason/Tommy, Wes/Eric, Jason/Eric Rating: R Warning: Strong sexuality, language
*blink* Wow. Well I don't know what I was expecting but that was sure as hell worse. Ow. That's an uncomfortable way to find out how one's emotions are working against you. I'm sure Jason was pretty well confused as well, yet it's amazing how their reasons are so similar. Perhaps that's why they were attracted to each other in the first place, and that night resonates with them now.
It's funny how both our visions of Eric and Jason gelled together on this and made it all work. And yeah, it did have resonances ... as you'll find out in the next chapters. :)
Am I correct in assuming that your "wow" means you liked it still? :) If so, thanks!
Thanks! Yeah, the 'strangers' theme sort of came together out of both our concepts of the characters, as germankitty said, and also the parallels between Eric's and Jason's feelings on that night and between the interactions of the two serious couples in the story.
I have to say I'm curious what people were expecting - but glad that this seems to have been a surprise!
More UST! Poor guys! But I was glad to see that Eric didn't try to push Jason into doing what he wasn't comfortable with doing. Frustrating for both of them, though. I really like the subtle threads of Eric's changing perspective at being strangers - and how you've solidified that in his explanation to Wes at the end. Very well done! I am really looking forward to the infamous meeting now! Great job, ladies!
