A/N: Sequel to Loss (I blame scifislasher). I'm not really happy with this. It's longer than most of my other fics, probably longer than it should be. Or not long enough. But I'm sick of re-writing it, so here it is.

I happily accept the blame for this! I love the end, in particular, it just really made me smile for some reason. Sorry you got so sick of re-writing it, though. :)

The rewriting must have worked, because it turned out great. I'm so glad you did justice to Ally in this - not turning her into a bitch the way so many writers would. The sections with her really shine, showing her inner conflicts and the reasons for her decision. And I'm glad you didn't have Sky and Jack just falling into each other's arms at the end. Such things are not resolved quickly or easily in life. This showed a lot of subtlety and humanity.

Thanks. I'm glad you like the sections with Ally - her sections were the ones I was re-writing, trying to get her right! And no, I don't like fics where it all magically becomes okay again. These things do take time.

yay! I agree with Cmar-you really do Ally justice and didn't like turn her into a vampire or something evil like i did . I really like her in this story--and Syd's refusal to talk about Jack was also very IC and sweet. Awww. I'm loving where this is heading. :D

Great story. I agree that it's good you didn't make it a quick kiss and make up - not very believable IMO.
