First day of class

Today was my first day of class. So far so good, though I'll be the first to admit that one day isn't much to go on. After one of the meetings, two of my classmates were saying that they were glad they hadn't been asked why they were taking the course. "How," they asked, "can you say 'only because I have to?'" I'm putting my response on record

Sometimes, some people in my class are just... disrespectful and it really bothers me a lot.

Don't say it's stupid, don't argue, smile and lie if you have to. And if it's really something bothering you go see the teacher after class.
And please, please, don't start arguing with him about off topic subject during classes.

Agreed. If it's important, say it politely. If all it's going to do is upset people, keep your mouth shut.

That's the awesomest advice. I'm almost always pretty honest about my feelings. I hate lying, but sometimes it's gotta happen. Especially with certain people in charge of your grades or paycheck. :-P
